Earlier this year, Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation awarded a $419,000 grant to sponsor a four year Illinois wind monitoring program:

It is my understanding that there has been a very strong response to apply for this program. Can anyone update us on the progress?

Hello from Illinois Wind. This year we saw great excitement from here. We received 54 applications this summmer, and our proposed tip-up towers are going up in 5 locations throughout the state this fall. Along with that, we are also placing anemometers on a couple cel towers. We will repeat this process over the next three summers.

Thanks for the update! I have recently been asked if there is the possibility to use your specifications and/or contract pricing on the tower and data loggers for individuals or organizations that want to move ahead on their own. Is that an option?
