Windustry invites you to participate in the:
New Federal Tax Exempt Bonding Bill for Community Energy Webinar Friday, June 1, 2007 at 9:00 AM Mountain Time (11:00 AM Eastern, 10:00 AM Central, 8:00 AM Pacific) Expected to take 75 minutes The proposed Rural Community Renewable Energy Bonds Act (S. 672), introduced by Sen. Ken Salazar (D-CO) and Sen. Gordon Smith (R-OR), would provide tax exempt private purpose bonds to fund locally owned community energy projects, e.g. those under 40 MW with at least 49% local ownership. If enacted, this bill would give local community energy project developers a better alternative to federal renewable energy production tax credit funding. Please attend this webinar to learn more about this legislation and federal bonding, why our local communities need a new renewable energy bonding program and what you can do to support S.672. If you can not attend the Webinar please write a letter in support of S. 672. Visit Windustry's website to see several examples of letters of support to inspire your writing: http://www.windustry.org/news/TaxExemptBond4Wind.htm Speakers participating in the webinar will include: John Covert - Executive Director, Colorado Working Landscapes (Introduction) Lisa Daniels - Executive Director, Windustry (Moderator) Steve Black - Energy Advisor to Senator Salazar (Federal Renewable Energy Legislation and Senate Bill 672: Rural Community Renewable Energy Bonds Act and the Senate Energy Committee) Gregory Johnson - Partner, Patton Boggs, LLP (Bond Financing Renewable Energy Projects) Lee White - Executive Vice-President, George K.
