A corporate tax break bill passed the Senate today that I believe once had a longer term extension of the PTC attached. I'm looking for confirmation whether this is the bill I'm thinking of and if the PTC was attached. I think this version was also going to include some revisions of the PTC that would expand it to other renewable technologies and also make it tradeable.

It looks like the final version of this bill did NOT include an extension of the PTC until 2006, nor did it include any of the other modifications (making it tradeable etc.).

So, the current status of the PTC is that it will expire December 31, 2005.

This bill included a big tax credit for biodiesel (one penny per percentage of biodiesel blended with petroleum diesel).
