I have large transmission lines running through my ranch in Throckmorton Texas . Do these make my land more attractive as a potential wind farm ?/

I wish I could give you a simple yes or no. In general, there are a few factors that make your land attractive. The first one is, of course, wind. And yes, transmission lines are a very good sign, but there is also more to find out about them. You will need to determine the size of the lines as well as the amount of space n the lines that will be able to carry power produced. This is not something you can determine by looking at the lines, but you will instrad need to contact the utility that owns the lines. If they have space and are amenable to wind power on their lines, your land would indeed be more attractive as a potential wind farm. Of course, the most important factor is the speed and consistency of the wind in your area. Without that, there'd be no electricity to transmit!
