We are writing to ask for advice on size, cost, financing of a wind turbine for use on my farm and how to sell any excess electricity back to the local provider. We would love to be totally off the grid, however I do not believe that is possible in my area of Southern Ohio.
We would also like opinions on the most efficient and reliable models.
Neighbors and zoning are not an issue although noise generation could be as we enjoy the sounds of nature.
We also have a power company owned transmission line running across part of the property and the nearest sub-station is within 3 miles.
