I am trying to assess the viability of a wind project on my land and that of my neighbors. I know there is transmission in the area. Can anyone offer advice on determining if there is sufficient capacity on those lines to support a utility scale wind farm. Thanks in advance!

Question:
How do you determine if the transmission capacity of electrical lines in your area?

Choices:
By posting a question.
By hiring a consultant.

That's actually not very easy to do.

However, we do have a bit of information about how to go about determining the available capacity on a given line in the Interconnection chapter of the Community Wind Toolbox, which you can find at
