I discovered this site and began asking questions of Ohio Farm, at first listed as [removed] then it changed. I asked about a website she mentioned called savewesternoh.org. The director of that site came on and asked some questions to have Ohio Farm back up what was said about his website. No the Topic is marked Closed. What is going on here? Is this just another site that only tells a biased picture? This is the second time I have asked this question. The first one waas not posted and this one probable won't be either. This looks fishy. I wan to have my questions answered.

I guess I like being so "scary!" What a lame veil. I know the information is damaging and figured you'd kill it, but to say that the words "Jxxxxxy seems like a nice kid" are threatening?
LOL! I don't plan to participate here any more. My time is too valuable. You can bet I'll be doing all I can to educate the public to the truth, though. Too bad you won't be getting any more insider info about my next move! I rather enjoyed sharing it here. A truth this strong can shed the element of surprise with no loss of impact. Feel free to contact me at tstacy@savewesternog.org or (614)296-8574 or mail to me at 6628 County Road 10, Zanesfield, OH 43360 if you have questions, concerns or comments. TTFN! Threadlessly yours, Tom Stacy PS. Hey Marin, care to send me a Cc. of that closed thread? No, I didn't think so. I have a great idea, Connie. Why don't you identify the myths for us and we will update the web site accordingly! You already know we are right down the middle on facts vs. myths, and must remain so to be a credible source of information from which landowners and homeowners alike can draw intelligence to make informed decisions for their futures. Just let us know what mythical info our site contains and we will work with you to correct it. We are as honest a group as you'll find anywhere, and we hope this policy brings the wind industry in Ohio to its KNEES! LOL! Tom Stacy |

Marin,
Thank you for your reply. I do not see this as you do. I saw Ohio Farm making comments against a website, that raises questions regarding wind turbines. When the person from that website asked for the accuser to show what was wrong, old or misleading on that site, you shut the topic. So what you have is a Forum where people can say what they want about someone and if that person asks for proof you shut them down. I was looking for both sides of the wind power story and what I have found is another place that anyone that asks questions is attacked, without proof and then has their speech surpressed. This is not the first case I have found in researching wind power. If it is such a good thing why can't it be discussed? I mean with facts and not with attacks that the attacker won't back up, like Ohio Farm did to this savewesternoh.org. You stated that you shouldn't post what you don't want on the paper's frontpage. Mr. Stacy seems to have backed what he said. Does Ohio Farm want her attacks agains his website in the paper? Obviously not because she offered him no evidence of what she said about his site. I would assume she is the one that complained. Attack and when you are called to task cry foul? You have not made this Forum look anything but biased to me! |

Hi Irish!
I'm one of the moderators of the Wind Farmers Network, and I wanted to respond to your post personally. We closed a discussion topic on the forum yesterday, and you wondered why. One of the things we value most on the forum is that it feels like a safe and respectful place for all participants. The discussion thread we closed had taken on a confrontational tone which made some forum participants feel uncomfortable. Because of the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful space for all participants, it is the policy of the Wind Farmers Network in cases like these to close the discussion topic to encourage all participants to take a thoughtful breath. The impersonal nature of internet communication means that internet forum discussions in general have an unfortunate ability to take on a confrontational nature faster than participants may intend. It is a common practice on forums such as this one to close discussions when the discussion falls outside of pre-established boundaries. On the Wind Farmers Network, we are particularly sensitive to participants posting personally identifying information (including, but not limited to names, addresses, phone numbers and personal descriptions) of people not directly involved in a discussion thread on the forum without their permission. Our terms of service state: "We reserve the right to modify, edit, move or delete, without notice, any posting, with or without cause. Users agree and understand that their use of this message board constitutes acceptance of this disclaimer." There's a link to the terms of service on the bottom of every page in the forum, if you'd like to read the whole thing. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding in this matter. If you have any questions or concerns about what is or is not within the discussion boundaries on this forum, please contact me. Sincerely, This message has been edited.
