We live in a veritable wind tunnel on this central Illinois homestead that currently has a solid old windmill structure in place. The wind blows here when three miles down the road the leaves are barely moving...every day!!! We would love to use this to our "power" advantage for energy on our homesite alone. Your website was recommended by Marilyn Parker of the Macon County Water Conservation District in hopes that you might direct us to a company that would help us achieve our objectives, or enlighten us to possibilities. Thank you for any information of help available in our area to turn our windmill structure into the power machine we know it could become...and it is one of the few windmills left in our farming community. How nice that nostalgia might just pay off!!!
Thanks, Bob and Marla Rutherford

Hey Bob and Marla, why don't you give me a call soon and we can talk. There are a few details that you need to understand before you move towards having your own turbine such as what your motivation is, what your goals for your wind turbine are, understanding your wind resource well, knowing what options there are for you when working with your utility (if you plan to interconnect).

If we have a conversation or two I can better provide you with information.

Hope to talk to you soon!

-Brian
