I was curious if any of you have experience performing wind resource assessment with sodar? How well did it work? Were there any problems, and if so why?

Hi,

I had a look at the sodar.com website not that long ago and recall they mentioned that variance (such as wind speed standard dev) is inherently unreliable or not available.

Would make turbulence calcs difficult.

Other than that I've had no personal experience sorry.

One company I found that seems to be having success at using Sodar for measuring wind is second wind
