Hi,
I have seen the curve for the efficiency of a turbine at different wind velocities. It looks almost like a straight line at the midpoint. My questions is, "Can you use average wind speed when looking at a conversion efficiency curve?" So, if my average wind speed is 20 mph, can I use the efficiency curve to calculate how much energy I will get during the time period that my average was taken over? So, if my average was 20 mph over a month and the turbine is 30% efficient at that wind velocity, then can I calculate the amount of energy that I will get using that average? Or, do I need to integrate over every hour depending on how fast the wind is blowing from moment to moment? "Free 7-day Wind Turbine Property Assessment Course."
